Seattle Outboard Association hosted their Silver Lake Regatta this weekend after last year’s annual hydroplane races on Silver Lake in south Everett were cancelled due to COVID-19. A one-day Regatta has been held annually on Silver Lake since 1954. This year’s regatta offered everything from 9-year-olds starting in their first hydroplane races to big names such as Albert Lee Cup winner J. Michael Kelly. While the weather wasn’t ideal, spectators braved the rain to watch and support the racers.
