SNOHOMISH — Kylani Rookstool and Brynna Pukis scored 14 points apiece and the Glacier Peak girls basketball team used a stingy defensive effort to best Lake Stevens, 51-32, in Wesco 4A play.
Zoey Ritter added 11 points and Marley Macris chipped in seven for the Grizzlies (7-2, 1-0 league), who took a 32-15 lead into halftime and held Lake Stevens to single digits in three quarters.
Nisa Ellis scored seven points and Kamryn Wenz had six to lead the Vikings (6-5, 0-2).
