EVERETT — The Spokane Indians scored seven late runs to break open a close game and beat Everett 10-3 on Tuesday night to hand the AquaSox their eighth loss in the past 10 games.
With the game tied 3-3, the Indians pushed across one run in seventh, two more in the eighth and exploded for four more runs in the ninth to earn the win.
Connor Hoover hit his 15th home run of the season, Jake Anchia had two hits and Joseph Rosa drove in two runs to lead the Everett offense.
Taylor Dollard started and turned in a solid outing on the mound for the AquaSox. Dollard allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings while striking out five and walking one. Franklin Van Gurp allowed a run in relief, Ben Onyshko allowed two and Brendan McGuigan gave up four runs in just an inning of work.
Jack Blomgren, Brenton Doyle and Aaron Schunk all homered for the Indians.
Everett (56-40) remained tied atop the High-A West standing with Eugene after the Emeralds also lost on Tuesday. Both teams are four games ahead of Spokane (52-44) with 23 games left in the season. The top two teams at the end of the regular season will play for the league championship.
