Three curlers from Lynnwood are part of the United States men’s team competing at the World Curling Championships in Gavle, Sweden.
Jason Larway, Joel Larway and Doug Kauffman are members of a U.S. squad that was 1-4 through Monday’s competition in the 10-country tournament. The Americans were in a tie for eighth place with France.
Round-robin play continues through Thursday, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals on Friday.
Jason Larway, 34, is the skip on the U.S. team. His brother Joel Larway, 35, is the second and Kauffman, 35, is the fifth. The other team members are Doug Pottinger of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Bill Todhunter of Appleton, Wis.
