McEachran pitches four-hitter, drives in three runs to lead Jackson

MILL CREEK — Carly McEachran turned in a solid performance in the pitching circle and at the plate for the Wesco South-leading Jackson Timberwolves, who defeated Kamiak 8-3 Tuesday at Jackson High School.

McEachran scattered four hits and struck out five batters in picking up the win.

She also added a two-run double and another RBI with a sacrifice fly as Jackson remained undefeated in league play.

“(We) are playing better,” Jackson coach Mike Moran said of his young team. “We swung the bats pretty well today.”

The Timberwolves also committed just one error Tuesday.

“Defensively they’re committing less errors and playing better,” Moran added.

Kamiak stayed in third place among 4A teams with the loss and fell to 3-2, a half-game ahead of 3-3 Edmonds-Woodway.
