EVERETT — The Everett Merchants lost 3-1 to the Seattle/Cheney Studs on Tuesday at Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The Merchants scored their only run in the first inning, when Sam Linscott singled home Patrick Chung, who led off the game with a triple.
Charlie Wright started on the mound for Everett and worked five innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts, two walks and a hit batsman.
Nich Klemp went 2-for-3 with a double for Everett, which takes on the Studs again at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
