PASCO — The Tri-City Dust Devils exploded for seven runs in the seventh inning on their way to handing the Everett AquaSox an 11-3 loss Saturday night at Gesa Stadium.
Tri-City’s Stevan Rivas hit an RBI single, Christian Sepulveda mashed a three-run home run and Christian Molfetta and Kyren Paris each had RBI triples during the seventh.
The Dust Devils (44-60) used two sac flies and a pair fielding miscues by the AquaSox (50-56) to grab a 4-1 lead in the sixth.
Everett’s Ty Duvall hit a two-run home run in the ninth and Robert Perez Jr. gave the AquaSox a 1-0 lead with his sac fly in the fifth.
Kyle Molnar (4-0) pitched a scoreless sixth to earn the win. Dust Devils starter Jose Salvador worked around five walks and three hits while allowing just one run over five innings. He struck out three.
Everett starter Bryan Woo (1-1) surrendered four unearned runs over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight and allowed three hits and two walks. Fred Villareal allowed six of Tri-City’s seven runs in the seventh.
Rivas finished with three hits, including two doubles, and Sepulveda had four RBI.
Victor Labrada and Perez led the AquaSox with two hits apiece.
