Non-league

Snohomish 9, Ferndale 2

FERNDALE — Snohomish’s pitching staff looked strong as the Panthers improved to 2-1 in a blowout win. Brayden Holscher allowed two hits to four strikeouts in five innings to earn the win while Trevor Vorderbruggen finished off the final two innings with no hits allowed and five strikeouts against seven hitters. Reve LeRoux and Apollo Mason paced the Panthers’ bats, as each went 2-for-3 and finished with two RBI, respectively.

Archbishop Murphy 10, Marysville Pilchuck 0 (5)

MARYSVILLE — The Wildcats (2-1) earned their first run-rule win of the season as Myles Hulse led the way on the mound and Cole McCourt stood out on offense. Hulse pitched all five innings, allowing four hits to 10 strikeouts while McCourt found a hit in all three of his at-bats and scored three runs. AJ Bombach (2-for-2, two runs) and Jameson Crow (2-for-3, one run) also performed from the plate on a 10-for-25 day for Archbishop Murphy. It was a tough outing for the Tomahawks (0-2), who allowed just two earned runs to five errors.

Roosevelt 5, Meadowdale 4

SEATTLE — Meadowdale’s Ben Webster (1-for-2) came up clutch in the top of the seventh, stealing home for his second stolen base of the game to put his team up 4-3. Unfortunately for Webster and Co., the Rough Riders scored on a walk-off single in the bottom of the inning to hand the Mavericks (1-2) their second loss of the season.

Seattle Prep 6, Mountlake Terrace 5

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A late error in the top of the seventh gave the Panthers a lead they would not relinquish as the Hawks (0-2) watched their three-run lead from the fifth inning salt away. Liam Moore (1-for-2) led Mountlake Terrace with two RBI on an early triple while Nate Brown brought in one RBI on a 2-for-4 day.
