ISSAQUAH — Fourth-seeded Issaquah beat No. 5 Glacier Peak in an opening-round non-elimination game of the 4A District 1/2 Tournament on Thurdsay night.

Glacier Peak will next face the winner of Saturday’s game between No. 10 Mariner and No. 7 Woodinville in a loser-out game on May 10.

Issaquah advanced to face No. 1 Newport in the semifinals.

3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

ARLINGTON — Sixth-seeded Arlington routed 11th-seeded Ferndale in the opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament on Thursday night.

Arlington advanced to face No. 3 Monroe in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Ferndale ended its season with a 6-8-2 overall record.

MARYSVILLE — Tenth-seeded Everett blanked No. 7 Marysville Pilchuck in the opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Everett advanced to face No. 2 Mount Vernon in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Marysville Pilchuck finished its season with a 9-8-0 overall record.

Shorewood 3, Snohomish 0

SHORELINE — Fifth-seeded Shorewood blanked No. 12 Snohomish in the opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Shorewood advanced to face No. 4 Edmonds-Woodway in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Snohomish finished its season with a 5-11-1 overall record.

SHORELINE — Skylar Tillman went 3-for-4 with two doubles and Rebecca Carson tossed a complete game in the circle and added a double at the plate to lift Shorewood to a league won over Marysville Pilchuck on Thursday.

Gracie Long went 2-for-4 with a double for Shorewood (13-5, 10-3 Wesco 3A/2A).

McKenzie Becker went 2-for 3 and Meliah Bertapelle and Emily Downing each had doubles for Marysville Pilchuck (6-11, 6-6).
