MARYSVILLE — Marysville Getchell junior Ethan Jury tossed a no-hitter and struck out 11 batters in a dominant performance against Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday.

Jury walked only one batter in the seven-inning gem.

Shawn James went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Marshall Campbell went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Marysville Getchell (1-0).

Snohomish 8, Meadowdale 1

SNOHOMISH — Brendan McKinley and Nolan Soderstrom combined to allow just two hits and one run while striking out eight in seven innings as Snohomish cruised to a win over Meadowdale on Wednesday.

McKinley started and struck out five over 4.2 one-hit innings before Soderstrom finished the final 2.1 innings with only one hit allowed and three punchouts.

Bradin Craig went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, and Gage Keene went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI for Snohomish (3-0).

Tyler Brummitt hit a solo home run for Meadowdale (0-3).

Oak Harbor 10, Cascade 0

EVERETT — Cascade managed just three hits in a shutout loss to Oak Harbor on Wednesday.

The Bruins fell to 1-2 on the season.

Mount Vernon 8, Everett 5

EVERETT — The Everett offense tallied eight hits, but the Seagulls fell to Mount Vernon on Wednesday.

Xavier Neyens provided the big blow for the Bulldogs with a three-run home run in the sixth inning.

Everett fell to 1-1 on the season.

Ballard 9, Shorecrest 2

SHORELINE — Bennett Foster went 2-for-3 with triple and an RBI single but Shorecrest fell to Ballard in a non-league game Wednesday against Ballard.

The Scots dropped to 0-2.

Shorewood fell to 1-1-0 on the season.

SHORELINE — Vito Nith posted his second shutout of the early season and Roland Ngoy and Gavin VandenBerg each scored for Shorecrest in a win over Meadowdale.

Mason Dougherty and Ayden Blumhagen each tallied an assist for Shorecrest (2-0-0).

Meadowdale fell to 0-2-0 on the season.

Everett 3, Stanwood 0

EVERETT — Three different Everett players scored as the Seagulls opened Wesco 3A/2A play with a win over Stanwood on Wednesday.

Diego Machuca, Noah Baer and Dennis Andriyash each provided a score for Everett (2-0-0, 1-0-0 league).

The Spartans fell to 0-2-0 (0-1-0).

Archbishop Murphy 2, Lynnwood 1

BOTHELL — Gabe Herrera and Sean Balen netted goals to lift Archbishop Murphy over Lynnwood in the league opener for both squads Wednesday.

Anthony Veneziani and Zach Mohr added assists for the Wildcats 1-0-0 (1-0-0 Wesco 3A/2A).

The Royals fell to 0-2-0 (0-1-0).

EVERETT — Senior standout Alexis Slater pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts and went 3-for-3 at the plate as Mariner earned a win over Marysville Pilchuck on Wednesday.

Freshman Bella Torres provided the big hit in the game for Mariner (1-0) with a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Marysville Pilchuck fell to 0-1.

Glacier Peak 3, Snohomish 0

SNOHOMISH — Faith Jordan tossed a shutout and hit a solo home run at the plate to lead Glacier Peak to a win over crosstown-rival Snohomish on Wednesday afternoon.

Bri Titus hit a clutch two-run double in the fourth inning to help lead the Glacier Peak (1-1) offense.

Snohomish fell to 0-1 on the season.

Stanwood 5, Mount Vernon 3

STANWOOD — Stanwood rallied from a three-run deficit late in the game to defeat Mount Vernon on Wednesday.

Eliot McDonald earned the win in the circle and also had a key run-scoring single, and Rubi Lopez added a run-scoring triple for the Stanwood (1-0) offense.

Shorewood 15, Nathan Hale 0 (5)

SHORELINE — Rebecca Carson tossed a four-hit shutout and doubled at the plate to lead Shorewood to a five-inning win over Nathan Hale.

Gracie Long and Yuri Siler also doubled, and Skylar Tillman and Riley Wheaton each had two hits for Shorewood (1-0).

Lakewood 6, Cedar Park Christian 4

BOTHELL — Freshman Katie Krueger struck out five and earned the win in the circle as Lakewood (1-0) held off Cedar Park Christian.
