First round

Lake Washington 5, Monroe 1

KIRKLAND — In its first state soccer match since 2009, No. 20-seed Monroe lost to No. 13 Lake Washington in the first round on Tuesday night.

Monroe, which reached the state tournament with wins over Mountlake Terrace and Oak Harbor is districts, finished its season with an 11-9-0 record overall.

Lake Washington (10-6-2) advanced to face No. 4 Shorecrest in the Round of 16.

4A DISTRICT 1/2 TOURNAMENT

Semifinals (winner to state, non-elimination)

Lake Stevens 3, Bothell 0

LAKE STEVENS — Second-seeded Lake Stevens swept No. 3 Bothell in the semifinals of the 4A District 1/2 Tournament to clinch a state berth for the sixth consecutive season.

Lake Stevens will face top-seeded North Creek in the district title game on Thursday at Bothell High School.

Bothell dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 5 Jackson in a winner-to-state, loser-out game on Thursday.

Consolation bracket (loser out)

Issaquah 3, Glacier Peak 1

MILL CREEK — Eighth-seeded Glacier Peak’s season ended with a consolation-bracket loss to No. 7 Issaquah in the 4A District 1/2 Tournament.

Issaquah advanced to face No. 5 Jackson in another loser-out game immediately following.

Glacier Peak finished with an 8-11 overall record on the season.

Jackson 3, Issaquah 2

MILL CREEK — Fifth-seeded Jackson held off a tough challenge from No. 7 Issaquah in consolation bracket loser-out game in the 4A District 1/2 Tournament.

Jackson advanced to face No. 3 Bothell in a winner-to-state, loser-out consolation game on Thursday. Bothell fell to No. 2 Lake Stevens in the tournament semifinals on Tuesday.

3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

First round (non-elimination)

Snohomish 3, Oak Harbor 0

SNOHOMISH — Livi Harrison had nine kills, six aces and six digs, and Kelsey Nichols added six kills and six digs as top-seeded Snohomish swept No. 8 Oak Harbor 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 in a non-elimination, first-round game of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Ayla Grant had six kills, 24 assists and two digs, Anika Smith added two kills and 12 digs and Adriannah Galvan added five kills and two digs for Snohomish, which advanced to the semifinals and will face No. 5 Ferndale in a winner-to-state game on Thursday.

Oak Habor dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 4 Lynnwood in a loser-out game on Thursday.

Meadowdale 3, Shorewood 1

LYNNWOOD — Tanna Kollen had 20 kills, two aces and seven digs, and Laiken Thoesen added 10 kills as second-seeded Meadowdale beat No. 7 Shorewood 24-26, 25-6, 25-19, 25-21 in the first round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Sofia Brockmeyer had 14 digs and four aces, and Aubrey Congdon added 34 assists for Meadowdale, which advanced to face No. 3 Monroe in the winner-to-state semifinals on Thursday.

Shorewood dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 6 Arlington in a loser-out game on Thursday.

Monroe 3, Arlington 0

MONROE — Jessi Mahler had 13 kills, and Karisa Martin added 10 kills and nine blocks as third-seeded Monroe swept No. 6 Arlington 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 in a non-elimination, first-round game of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Morgan Walser had eight kills and six blocks, Sawyer Mahler added seven digs, and Sara Skold chipped in 10 assists for Monroe, which won its 10th straight match and advanced to the winner-to-state semifinals to face No. 2 Meadowdale on Thursday.

Melissa Hadley had seven kills and 14 digs, Chloe Lewis added 10 digs, and Caydence Knudson chipped in 11 assists and three aces for Arlington, which dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 7 Shorewood in a loser-out game on Thursday.

Ferndale 3, Lynnwood 1

BOTHELL — Fourth-seeded Lynnwood lost to No. 5 Ferndale in the non-elimination first round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Lynnwood fell into the consolation bracket and will face No. 8 Oak Harbor in a loser-out game on Thursday.

Ferndale advanced to face top-seeded Snohomish in the winner-to-state seminfinals on Thursday.
