Seahawks sign two more to future contracts

The Seahawks already signed eight players to future contracts this week, and added two more Thursday, signing receiver Charly Martin and defensive tackle Adrian Taylor.
Martin, who was born in Walla Walla, came into the league in 2009 as an undrafted free agent and has spent time with San Diego, Carolina and Jacksonville. Taylor, who went undrafted out of Oklahoma, was part of a highly-touted line that featured fellow DT and No. 3 Gerald McCoy, but in the Sooner 2009 bowl game Taylor dislocated his ankle, requiring surgery. He played in 2010, but that season ended early because of a torn achilles and he went undrafted in 2011.
As mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, these future signings don’t turn into impact players more often than not, but some diamonds in the rough do come out of January signings like Brandon Browner last year.
