Silvertips bounce back, beat Cougars

EVERETT — Dominik Rymon scored twice and the Everett Silvertips bounced back from their first loss of the season to beat the Prince George Cougars 6-4 on Saturday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Everett jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second period, but goals from Chase Wheatcroft, Koehn Ziemmer and Caden Brown pulled Prince George even at 3-3.
The Silvertips responded with goals from Rymon and Austin Roest to cap the six-goal second period with 5-3 lead.
Jacob Hoffrogge, Ben Hemmerling and Jackson Berezowski also scored, and Ryan Hofer had three assists for the Silvertips.
Braden Holt stopped 30 of 34 shots in goal for Everett (4-1-0-0).
Ty Young made 49 saves on 54 shots for Prince George (3-3-0-0).
