Silvertips Digest: Kindopp headed to Avs development camp

WHL announces Silvertips will open home schedule against Tri-City.

After going undrafted in the 2019 NHL draft, Silvertips forward Bryce Kindopp will take part in the Colorado Avalanche’s development camp, he told The Herald on Sunday.

Kindopp, 20, potted a team-high 39 goals in a breakout season, which bolstered his draft stock. He appeared for the first time in NHL Central Scouting’s ranking in the final edition at 170th and possessed an outside chance of being taken as an “overager” in the 2019 draft. He isn’t eligible for the draft next season.

Also on the roster are four fellow Western Hockey League players, including the No. 5 overall pick, Vancouver’s Bowen Byram.

Silvertips’ home opener announced

The WHL announced on Monday that the Silvertips will host the Tri-City Americans on Sept. 20 for Everett’s season opener. The entire schedule will be released on Wednesday.
