EVERETT — The Everett Silvertips jumped out to a big lead after the first period and rolled to their 14th victory in 15 games to start the season, 4-1, over the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Jacob Wright, Olen Zellweger and Jackson Berezowski all scored in the opening frame as the Silvertips raced out to a 3-0 lead. Ronan Seeley provided an assist on each of the first-period goals.

Michal Gut added a goal on an assist from Austin Roest in the second to push Everett’s lead to four.

Yannick Proske scored for the Chiefs in the third for the final tally.

Braden Holt stopped 22 of 23 shots in goal for Everett (14-0-0-1).

Mason Beaupit stopped 33 of 37 shots for Spokane (3-8-2-0).
