KAMLOOPS, B.C. — The Everett Silvertips shootout woes continued Monday in a 4-3 loss to the Kamloops Blazers at Sandman Centre.
Everett converted only one of its three shootout attempts and the Blazers scored on their first two with Luke Toporowski’s make proving as the game-winner.
The Silvertips (35-7-2-5, 76 points) dropped to 0-5 in shootouts this season.
Jacob Wright’s 17th goal of the season tied the game at 2 early in the third period and Ronan Seeley put Everett up 3-2 at the 12:11 mark with a power-play goal.
But Kamloops (35-13-2-0, 70) tied it when Daylan Kuefler delivered his second goal of the day with just 43 seconds left in regulation.
Dylan Anderson also scored for Everett, and Alex Swetlikoff and Alen Zellweger added two assists apiece.
Quinn Schmlemann chipped in one goal and one assist for the Blazers.
Koen MacInnes (15-3-3) stopped 25 of 28 shots and 1 of 3 in the shootout period.
Dylan Ernst (10-6-2) had 40 saves in 43 chances, plus 2 of 3 in the shootout.
