EVERETT — Mike Fraser is moving up in the Everett Silvertips organization.
Fraser, Everett’s director of player personnel, has been promoted to assistant general manager and given a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
Fraser, 43, was originally hired as the team’s head scout in 2018. After three years he was promoted to director of player personnel last June. In his roles Fraser was responsible for supervising the Tips’ scouting department, overseeing Everett’s drafts and assisting in roster management. Among the players Fraser has helped procure for the Tips are forwards Ben Hemmerling and Austin Roest and touted defensive prospect Tarin Smith.
“I’ve been fortunate to work with Mike over the past few years,” Everett general manager Dennis Williams said in a press release. “I’m amazed at his work ethic and details. He’s got a great eye for not only finding high-end talent, but even more importantly, finding high-character players that fit our culture here in Everett.”
