PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan — Caden Zaplinty and Olen Zellweger both scored twice as the Everett Silvertips beat the Prince Albert Raiders 4-2 on Saturday night for their third straight win.
After Zellweger opened the scoring just 1 minute, 46 seconds into the game, Zaplinty added both of his goals in the first period as the Silvertips raced out to a 3-0 lead.
Evan Herman scored in the second and Keaton Sorensen scored early in the third as the Raiders cut the deficit to 3-2.
Zellweger added a late empty-netter for the final tally of the game.
Tim Metzger started in goal for Everett (11-5-0-0) and stopped 18 of 20 shots as the Silvertips finished their road trip through the Eastern Conference with a 4-2 record.
Tikhon Chaika made 38 saves on 41 shots for Prince Albert (4-11-2-0).
