The National Lacrosse League on Wednesday honored two members of the Washington Stealth for their performances in last weekend’s 17-7 victory over the Orlando Titans.
Washington forward Rhys Duch was named the NLL’s Offensive Player of the Week and goaltender Matt Roik was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.
Duch scored a season-high nine points (three goals, six assists) against the Titans. He ranks second on the Stealth and 13th in the NLL in scoring with 70 points (25 goals, 45 assists) in 14 games.
Roik held the East Division’s top team to just seven goals. He made 34 saves to improve his record to a league-best 6-0. Roik ranks sixth in the league in both goals against average (9.93) and save percentage (.782).
