Enjoy the summer weather and long days with a visit to the Edmonds Art Walk this Thursday, July 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Live Music includes Andy Carr jazz at ArtsNow in the Edmonds Conference Center, the Cascade Symphony String Players perform at Coldwell Banker Bain, Kings of the Philistines play rockabilly at Horizon Bank, Those Guys perform at Salon Pena and after 8 p.m., live music at The Loft.
Demonstrations include oil painting at Running in Motion, acrylic painting at Salon Pena, Raku and woodturning at Semantics Gallery, watercolors at Aria Studio Gallery and fused glass at Manya Vee Selects
ACE Hardware hosts the texture and surprise of Laurie Zak’s photography. At Aria Studio Gallery, vibrant florals in watercolor, by artist Joan E Archer; photography from exotic places, by Leah K Goodwin. Arista Wine Cellars features Diana Fairbanks and her new book, “Backroads of Washington,” which she’ll be signing. ArtsNow Gallery at Edmonds Conference Center highlights the works of Ray Fortner’s “Shoot to Show” photography class. At Autumn’s Framing and Gallery, view All Nature Sings, a collection of Northwest landscapes.
Bellissimo Salon exhibits Alexandra Knight’s black and white Ostia Antika painting series. Bluefish Designs spotlights watercolor and mixed media paintings. C’est La Vie features Award winning children’s book illustrator Kathy Kemly. At Coldwell Banker Bain, see the works of Acclaimed Photography. Cole Gallery and Artist Supplies highlights a nationally acclaimed artist and his series depicting Grand Central Station. Dolce La Belle hosts Art Messer’s A Fauvistin Paris. The Edmonds Bookshop features author Kirsten Lunstrum signing her book of short stories.
Edmonds Frame Design and Atelier shows Nancy Reithaar’s her monotype/collages. The Edmonds Library displays Corrinne Goulet, Ann Davenport and Dawn Westmoreland’s paintings. At Edmonds United Methodist Church, The Vancouver Project Paintings present six artists contemplate the beautiful, grotesque and sublime. Edward Jones hosts landscapes and scenes by Howard Frank. At Fabric of Life, see vibrant acrylic/oil paintings, oil drum art and the musical rhythms of Haiti. Festivities hosts wine tasting and live performance and abstract art by Roger Shurtleff. The Frances Anderson Center exhibits Dylan O’Neil paintings in the Young Artist Display Case. Andrew Morrison paintings are also on exhibit in the EAC Display Case in the Anderson Center.
At Gallery North, Treasured Maps and Memories is a colorful collection of acrylic paintings by Karen Schneider. Garden Gear features uniquely created metal sculptures by Terri Schuver. Glazed and Amazed hosts Ellen Lyons’ jewelry. Horizon Bank spotlights Edmonds’ favorite Kimi Hansen’s abstract and impressionistic styles. Housewares hosts Ruthy Porter’s patterns, colors and intricate details in nature. Interiors of Edmonds displays Zomi Washburn’s pastels. At J Rankin Jewelers, mMusic communes with nature in Kent Hricziscse’s black and white photography on canvas, along with modern color photos. Kinder Britches features a child and family portrait artist specializing in custom art pieces. Manya Vee Selects hosts the color,whimsy and craftsmanship of the stained glass of artist duo It’s All About Glass.
Visit Ombu Salon + Spa to view D. Ora Wolf’s mythical creatures. Reliable Floor Coverings spotlights the mosaic mirrors of Jennifer Carroll. At Resident Cheesemonger, Sam Evich’s photos are a result of persistent creativity and care. Rick Steves’ Europe hosts a free pictorial tour of England’s gardens with Ann Neel. Running In Motion displays Lisa Kaplan, an accomplished pet portrait artist. At Salon Pena, Heather Jarvis paints evocative pop art works and unique pet portraits. Semantics Gallery hosts demonstrations by Barbara Childs (raku firing) and Molly Winton (woodturning). The Rose House highlights Susan Sorensen’s mosaics along with works of 12 Gallery North artists.
