It’s time to dust off the dancing shoes, grab your partner and head for Shoreline’s Cromwell Park at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 for a concert with Los Orchids and the Valley Girls, part of the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council’s Concerts in the Parks series.
This group is a diverse blend of people playing “Straight Ahead Rock &Roll” as well as contemporary R&B, Motown and soul. Los Orchids is known for setting the stage for a party with its tropical motifs and lively performance style.
Los Orchids and the Valley Girls performed as the back-up band and opening band for legendary Bo Diddley at his birthday dance party at the ShowBox in December 2002. Los Orchids member Barry Curtiss is a former member of legendary Northwest group The Kingsmen.
