Mayes names laboratory technical director

Mayes Testing Engineers, Inc., a full-service testing and inspection agency with over 130 employees, has named Lynnwood Laboratory Manager Dale Yoder as laboratory technical director. Yoder has more than 30 years of laboratory testing experience and has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Western Washington University. He has extensive experience in testing of concrete, soils analysis, brick and concrete masonry, reinforcing steel, structural steel and post tensioning strands. In his new role, Yoder is responsible for marketing, technical consulting, personnel training, equipment procurement and quality control.
Project Manager Chris Pratt has been promoted to laboratory manager for the company’s Lynnwood laboratory. Pratt has eight years of experience in inspection, quality control and construction, specializing in soils, aggregate, asphalt and concrete materials testing. He has an Associate in Arts Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology from Broome Community College, Binghamton, NY. In his new role, Pratt is responsible for all aspects of laboratory testing, including physical testing of concrete, soils, steel and asphalt, in accordance with ASTM specifications. He will also be handling equipment calibrations, report preparation, and quality control in his new position.
