Entertainer, songwriter and recording artist Joni Morris brings a lengendary country singer to life when she performs at the Northshore Performing Arts Center March 2 in a “Portrait of Patsy Cline.”
Morris comes by her country western background naturally. Instilled with a deep love of country music by her parents, at a young age she would accompany her father’s guitar playing. For the past 15 years Joni has traveled nationally with her band After Midnight, a “Jordanaires singing style” four-piece band.
Her shows also encompass tributes to Connie Francis, “Legendary Ladies in Country Music,” and her own original music.
In 1998, Morris, from Stockton, Calif., released her fourth CD entitled “Heartsongs,” which includes her hit song, “It’s Hold Me Time” and other original songs. In 2001 Joni recorded her first 10 song Christmas CD “Joni Morris Christmas.”
