The Alderwood Water &Wastewater District recently signed a contract with the city of Everett ensuring its water supply to the south county for the next 50 years, according to a press release.
As the supplier of water to over 38,000 direct customers and wholesale provider to the cities of Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and the Clearview Water Supply Agency, the contract for this supply is paramount to the south county, officials said.
According to District general manager, Arden Blackledge, “This contract replaces a contract that had been in place since 1960 and establishes the surety of supply and a stable rate structure for the next 50 years.”
