Front Porch: Legislators to hold town halls

Sen. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, will conduct a telephone town hall at 7 p.m. Wed. March 12 to discuss issues in front of the Legislature.
The hour-long conversation allows participants to ask questions or simply listen to the conversation on subjects affecting the 10th Legislative District and the state.
Many residents will receive a call shortly before 7 p.m. and be able to remain on the line to participant. Or you may call toll-free 1-877-229-8493 and when prompted, enter PIN 15431 to join the call.
Bailey represents the 10th Legislative District, which includes Island County and parts of Snohomish and Skagit counties.
Sen. Maralyn Chase, D-Shoreline, will host a town hall meeting from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sat. March 15 at the Mountlake Terrace Community Senior Center at Ballinger Park. The park is located at 23000 Lakeview Drive in Mountlake Terrace.
At the meeting, Chase will recap actions taken during this year’s legislation session and answer questions from constituents.
“The March 15 date is particularly timely because the 2014 legislative session will have just ended and the issues of this session should be fresh on people’s minds,” Chase said in a statement.
Chase represents the 32nd Legislative District, which includes Mountlake Terrace, Shoreline, Lynnwood and northwest Seattle.
