NatureBox, www.naturebox.com, offers something different, an online subscription service to 100-plus snacks ranging from jerky, popcorn and granola, to nuts, chips and dried fruit.

The company guarantees its “nutritionist-approved” products are free of high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats, partially hydrogenated oils, and artificial flavors and colors.

Our panel sampled four complimentary snacks. All were crunchy and tasty, though we thought the pretzels and corn sticks were too salty. Would we subscribe to the service? We’d want more tastes before committing, but we like the concept.
