CAMANO ISLAND — Island County officials are asking for help identifying a man who was found dead Friday afternoon on the west side of Camano Island.
The body was discovered on the beach near Cama Beach State Park around 2 p.m. The man was wearing a gray sweatshirt with “UNLV Running Rebels” on it and a dark shirt with colorful children’s hand prints. The shirt had the words “Dad” and “Love Paul” on it. He wore dark shorts and Saucony athletic shoes.
The man was about 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds and was somewhere between his late 40s and early 60s. He’s described as white with brown or hazel eyes, a short graying beard and balding.
Anyone with information that could help identify the man can call 360-679-9567. Island County Coroner Robert Bishop is working to identify the body.
