Generosity made Christmas special

A huge thank you goes out to all the donors who gave to Maltby Food Bank during this past holiday season. Your care and concern for our food bank families made a big difference for them this year. Thank you for your generous gifts of toys, senior gifts, warm clothing and blankets. Our clients were very thankful and felt cared for. Our children were able to have a nice Christmas because of your caring hearts.

A special thank you goes to Santa for another delicious luncheon for all our families, Santa Claus with pictures taken and gifts for the children and seniors. This event is looked forward to all year long. Our clients thoroughly enjoyed themselves and you made them feel very special.

Our client numbers have almost doubled from last year. New families come in every week needing our help. Our shelves were very low at the beginning of November. But, with your generous food giving through the holidays, by the end of December you had given us 33,016 pounds of food! Our shelves are full and we should have enough food through the winter months. Your help makes a tremendous difference to our abilities to care for our families.

We are situated in an amazing community and have a tremendous caring network of friends. We deeply appreciate everything each of you does for us. We wish all of you a good 2010.

Fran Walster

Maltby Food Bank director
