Be more positive

In response to David Grant (” ‘Freedom County’: Nothing worth writing about,” Letters, Dec. 8): What about the 12,000 people who signed the petition for Freedom County? We guess the will of the people has nothing to do with what is going on, similar to Initiative 722.

Maybe before saying anything negative about Freedom County, people should find out what our state constitution says about creating a new county. We believe that the state constitution’s requirements to create a new county have been met. Our state Legislature has dropped the ball.

How about less effort on the negative and more on the positive?
