Everett gymnasts win state titles

Lauren Bath, a 7-year-old from Everett, brought home a state championship in the vault and floor exercise to propel her to the all-around title with a score of 34.55 at the Washington State Gymnastics Championships in Olympia.
The Leading Edge Gymnastics Level 4 team defended its state title by defeating 12 other teams to capture first place at the meet held this past weekend in Olympia.
Jessica Buehler, Lauren Leas and Tessa Weber also won state championships at the event for Leading Edge.
Rising Stars Gymnasts: Corissa Ball and Kimberly Wenger picked up state championships in the all-around for their respective age groups at the Washington State Gymnastics Championships. The Level 4 team took fourth in state despite having only five girls competing.
Stealers complete successful season: Kate Bruscas and Darcy Madsen scored for the U-16 Stanwood Stealers as they defeated the Bombers 2-1. The Stealers finished a stellar season with a record of 11-2-1.
Everett wrestlers secure championships: Ross Lampers of Snohomish and Justin Davidson of Bothell each won two individual championships at the “War on the Floor 2000,” held at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.
Stanwood Christmas Classic The Mukilteo Wildcats took first place in the fifth/sixth grade girls division while Lake Stevens defeated Sultan to take the sixth grade boys championship at the Stanwood Christmas Classic.
Piano &Organ Movers secure title: The Movers were led by former Snohomish High player Kyle Sweet who scored 25 points as to the Piano &Organ Movers defeated Armsberry Painting 58-47 in the Sky Valley Men’s Basketball League championship game.
Midgets triumph over North Delta: With strong defensive play, the Sno-King Midgets defeated North Delta 4-2 in Pacific Coast league action to improve their division-leading record to 7-1-0.
