Don’t blame voters for lack of funding

Mayor Bob Kraski of Arlington must not get out of his office to observe the buses that travel back and forth on Highway 530. At rush hour they have passengers but most trips have light passenger loads to say the least. If the mayor explained the bus system correctly, we are sending buses to Seattle full and returning empty. Seems like a waste to me.
Mayor Kraski also blames the reduction of funding for Community Transit on Initiative 695. I guess he does not read the papers or watch the news on Television. I-695 was declared unconstitutional and was tossed out. The state legislators, by direction of the governor, voted to reduce the cost of a vehicle license to $30.
Do not put the blame on the voters of this state. County Executive Bob Drewel could have used the pay increases that he approved for himself and other county personnel to help offset the Community Transit funding.
