Nelson’s work is appreciated

As director of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, I would like to commend Gary Nelson, chair of the Snohomish County Council. With wisdom and foresight, Gary sponsored the creation of a countywide public facilities district in 2001. Gary’s effort to bring the county to the table as a partner on a number of important projects resulted in plans for several unique community amenities around the county: the Everett Events

Center, the Edmonds Center for the Arts, the National Flight Interpretive Center and the Lynnwood Convention Center.

These facilities support thousands of jobs in the hospitality industry, create new employment opportunities and improve our local economy by providing new sources of revenue. With Gary Nelson’s support, there will be first-rate venues for performing arts, sporting events, visitors and convention delegates. The tourism industry recognizes and appreciates Gary Nelson’s leadership!
