Sorticulture
Everett’s annual art and garden party goes on this weekend at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd. and W. Marine View Drive, in north Everett. The garden festival features more than 90 booths with artists who create all kinds of outdoor decor, specialty nurseries, demonstrations and lectures on gardening projects, activities for children and, of course, plenty of food.
Save the list and map at left to help you find your way around the grounds.
Check the schedule of speakers below so you can time your booth scouting and wander toward the stage in front of Legion Hall at the appropriate time. While you’re in the neighborhood, stop by The Herald’s booth and say hi to the Home &Garden editors. We’ll be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Other Herald employees will be there all day Saturday and Sunday to hear your comments and story ideas.
Parking is tight in the Legion Park region. Savvy Sorticulture visitors park at Everett Community College or at Everett Station and take the free shuttle to and from the festival grounds. The buses make continuous loops, so the wait is never very long.
On the next few pages is a sneak preview of some of the unusual things you’ll find at Sorticulture this year.
