Expansion needs to be considered

Published 9:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2005

Many decades ago (about the 1930s) Paine Field was destined to become the Sea-Tac of the Pacific Northwest. It did not happen because the Army Air Corps took over Paine Field for many years, and we wound up with Sea-Tac International Airport.

With our increasing population and increased air travel, the Department of Transportation needs to consider expansion of Paine Field along with expansion of Sea-Tac, Boeing Field, Arlington Airport, and possibly McChord Field.
