MILL CREEK – Jackson remained undefeated and atop the Wesco South with a 9-1 win over Edmonds-Woodway Tuesday at Jackson High School.
Cam Nobles pitched six innings with six strikeouts and gave up just two hits. The Warriors only run was unearned on an error in the first inning.
“A good win, Edmonds-Woodway is a good team,” Jackson assistant coach Steve Nobles said.
With Edmonds-Woodway ahead 1-0, the Timberwolves Jon Wahl hit a single with the bases loaded and two outs to break the game open in the bottom of the second inning.
Jackson’s Joey Petosa was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Travis Snider hit a solo home run that went over the trees in right field, estimated at 500 feet.
“It was the longest home run I have ever seen here,” Nobles said.
