Let’s Get Going

The Huskies start the football season Tuesday, and we figured we’d start a blog this season to keep up with the ever-changing world of journalism.

The idea of the blog is to provide a companion to UW stories you’ll find in our newspaper, starting with a 10 questions facing the football team heading into the fall that will be in Tuesday’s edition.

We’ll have news items about the current team, recruiting, injuries and links to news about UW opponents. But this blog will also give you a place to find out what happens beyond the eye of the average fan. A sort-of behind-the-scenes look at what’s going on with the team. What was said in the daily press briefings? What’s the atmosphere like in Eugene? How did the team seem after the game? There will also be running blogs during games, including how the game looks from high above in the press box.

Hopefully the blog will give fans a little more in the way of Husky coverage than can be had in the daily stories. And hopefully it will be a fun place for you to check into (mostly) daily – and perhaps more than once daily – for your Husky fix.
