Woman allegedly chased boyfriend with a gun

CAMANO ISLAND – A 53-year-old Camano Island woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly chasing her boyfriend with a gun and threatening to shoot him.

When Island County Sheriff’s officers arrived at the couple’s home on S. Camano Drive, the woman was inside and her 54-year-old boyfriend was hiding outside.

Officers tried to phone the woman and spoke to her over loudspeakers from their cruisers, but the woman did not respond, according to an affidavit filed in Island County Superior Court.

The Snohomish County SWAT team responded and arrested the woman without incident.

The woman was being held in Island County Jail in Coupeville on Tuesday for investigation of second-degree assault.
