Good and Bad

Washington was fortunate to get out of its second drive without a safety, and then Sean Douglas unloaded an 82-yard punt. Douglas is one of the most important players on this team, clearly. But then the Sooners respond by returning the punt 62 yards. The Huskies are doing a good job against the run, but Matt Fountaine is getting beat every time, which will be a real problem.

It’s also surprising that the Huskies aren’t using more of the game clock. I think if it were me, I’d run the 25 seconds down every play to keep Oklahoma off the field as much as possible.

Washington needs a solid drive here to give the defense a rest.
