Nothing Special About It

Washington’s special teams continues to kill it. It gives up big return after big return and puts the defense – which is playing another good game – in terrible position. I don’t know if it’s because Douglas is outkicking the coverage or there’s just breakdowns on the cover teams, but it happens every game. If the Huskies lose this game, look at the special teams as the reason.

Also, Washington’s running backs are doing nothing to help the team today for the second week in a row. The run game is obviously non-existent, but neither player – Kenny James and Louis Rankin – is doing anything in the pass game and Rankin can’t block anyone.
