50 years ago (1957)

Delbert Canary of Darrington and Dennis Amb of Marysville were painting “Keep Washington Green” on the state’s major roads this summer. They were working with the Darrington office of the State Department of National Resources. Supervising their work was paint manager Barney Firseth.

25 years ago (1982)

Chris Rommel, president of the Everett Zonta Club, was to be a delegate to the Zonta International Convention in San Diego later this month.
