Almost kickoff time

We’re just a few minutes from kickoff, and there are a lot more fans disguised as empty seats than I would expect. Either there are less fans coming to this game than expected, or Syracuse fans have taken note from L.A. Dodger fans on when to show up at a sporting event.

There is a pretty good contingent of Husky fans in the northwest corner of the stadium, and, as expected, a lot of No. 10 jerseys. Speaking of the chose one—oops, I mean Jake Locker—we’ve been told a contingent of about 60 fans made the trip from Ferndale.

The players just came onto the field. It looks like the Washington captains for this game (they choose captains on a week-by-week basis) are Louis Rankin, Dan Howell, Juan Garcia and Jordan Reffett.

Syracuse won the toss and will receive.
