Thursday update from Montlake

Though he wasn’t mentioned when Tyrone Willingham addressed the media, linebacker E.J. Savannah was wearing a red jersey (no contact) at today’s practice. Unfortunately that pre-practice press gathering with Willingham was our last access to players or coaches until after Saturday’s game, so we won’t be able to ask about it tomorrow.

In other injury news, Willingham said that cornerback Byron Davenport did not practice Wednesday. Unless Davenport does a lot more today, it seems unlikely that he will play against Ohio State.

The better news is that offensive guard Casey Bulyca, who was slowed earlier in the week with bruised ribs, was involved in almost all of Wednesday’s practice.

Overall, the Huskies are pretty healthy going into week three, and they’re going to need to be against the big and physical Buckeyes.
