Bruins up after one quarter

The Huskies trail UCLA 3-0 after one quarter, and start the second quarter with second and two at their 21 yardline. Washington has struggled to do much on offense, gaining 59 yards on 11 plays, and 30 yards of those came on a Jake Locker run that gave the Huskies their only first down.

UCLA meanwhile, is moving the ball well, but has only one field goal to show for it.

Worth noting is the absence of cornerback Vonzell McDowell Jr. The freshman has started the Huskies’ first three games, but Matt Mosley started in his place. Byron Davenport, who has been out with hamstring injuries, has also seen action at cornerback tonight.
