50 years ago (1957)

Everett police were looking for a man who attempted to steal a gun from the Avenue Cafe, 2211 Broadway. John Walker, owner of the cafe, reported that the man came into the eatery, grabbed a gun from behind the counter and dashed out the door. He dropped the gun just outside in his haste.

25 years ago (1982)

Greg and Susan Moore were packaging one- to three-minute “feature-type” stories on holiday-related activities in the Everett area for viewing every weekday evening on Channel 3. “Christmas in Everett” would feature downtown and Everett Mall merchants and activities, school districts, youth groups, service clubs, entertainers and more.
