Hit-and-run injures one pedestrian near Mill Creek

EVERETT — One man was injured after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run collision near Mill Creek.
Just after 2 a.m. Thursday, troopers received reports that a 26-year-old man was struck by a pick-up truck near the crosswalk on westbound Highway 96 at Elgin Way Southeast, said Washington State Patrol Spokesperson Kelsey Harding. The victim had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim and a witness at the scene described the pick-up as grey/silver, Harding said. Based on debris at the scene, the truck is missing one of its front headlights.
As of 9:50 a.m., the driver has not been located.
Westbound Highway 96 at Elgin Way Southeast was blocked for more than three hours, with drivers utilizing the turn lane to travel through the area.
