Washington leads 37-34 at halftime

The Huskies are certainly glad to have Ryan Appleby back today. The senior guard from Stanwood has hit four of five three-point attempts in his season debut and leads the Huskies with 12 points, helping Washington to a 37-34 lead.
The Huskies were up by as many as eight, but Pitt closed with five unaswered points before the end of the half.
Pitt has a big advantage in rebounds (22-14). The good news for Washington is that it has only five turnovers, and is six for 12 on three-point attempts.
Levance Fields leads all scorers with 13 points. And speaking of fields, it appears the UW students did their homework, because they have been taunting Fields with chants of “taser, taser, taser!”
Fields was arrested outside of strip club in September and charged with aggravated assault, disarming a police officer, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and had to be subdued with a taser, according to reports. Good times.
