Countrywide CEO doing fine, thanks

Last week on the evening news I saw a very happy man. He was smiling and shaking hands with employees. Who was he? He was Angelo R. Mozilo, Countrywide Financial Corporation’s CEO and one of the nation’s highest-paid chief executives. He’s happy because he’s expecting to receive $115 million when Bank of America purchases Countrywide. He will also be eligible for free rides on the company jet and his country club expenses will be covered.

It’s nice to see someone so happy in the news instead of all gloomy about home foreclosures.
