Mora to take over Hawks job in ‘09

For all you Husky fans still clinging to hopes that Jim Mora will take over the football program at Washington soon, I bring you news you’re not going to like. Reports are that Mora and the Seahawks have reached a five-year deal for him to become head coach after Mike Holmgren retires next season. That has been the speculation for a while now, but it sounds like it’s close to becoming official. So for now, it looks like we can put any Mora to Washington talks to bed.
Also in football news, a reminder that Wednesday is signing day, which figures to be a good day for the Huskies. They’ll have video available at gohuskies.com, and I’ll check in during the afternoon with updates.
One bit of bad news for the Huskies, according to the L.A. Daily News, they have lost quarterback recruit Kevin Prince to UCLA.
