Mukilteo: City seeks bids on new $7 million city hall
Construction companies can submit bids for Mukilteo’s new city hall. Sealed bids will be accepted until Feb. 20 at the current City Hall, 4480 Chennault Beach Road.
The city hall, to be built at Cyrus Way and Harbour Pointe Boulevard, is estimated to cost about $7 million.
The two-story building’s design has a slanted roof on one side and a flat roof on the other. The two sides will be split by a large, wedgelike entryway to separate meeting space from city offices.
The city hall will have 18,000 square feet of space inside. However, only 15,000 square feet will initially be usable. Construction on the remaining 3,000 square feet of office space, in the southwest corner of the building, is planned to be finished as the city staff grows and needs more room.
