Everett
Events Center gets its own TV show
A new TV show highlighting upcoming concerts, games and shows at Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center debuts this week.
The host of “Comcast Arena 360” is Stevi Boskovich, an employee with Global Spectrum, the company that manages the Everett Events Center. Global Spectrum is owned by Comcast.
The first show with the band Jonas Brothers, the AVP Professional Beach Volleyball Tour, Harlem Globetrotters, Everett Silvertips and Playhouse Disney Live is available now for subscribers of on-demand cable.
Snohomish County
County information services director hired
The Snohomish County Council this week confirmed unanimously Larry Calter as county director of information services.
Calter previously oversaw technology for the King County Metro transit system. He will earn $144,646 a year. Calter previously worked for T-Mobile and Conversay Inc. in Bellevue.
The information services department builds, fixes and operates the county’s technological systems, including those running online services, mapping and permitting.
Sultan
City schedules hearing on growth plan
The Sultan Planning Board is set to hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the community center at 319 Main St. to consider changes to the city’s 2004 comprehensive plan.
The comprehensive plan outlines guidelines for the city’s future growth in residential and business developments.
